Microtel Mactan
Hello everyone its been a while since i last update this site i have been busy and really don't have time to update.anyways i will try my best to update it now. so first up is about our recent stay at Microtel Mactan we have avail of their leisure within reach promo 2500 php for room only we didn't avail of breakfast as we don't wake up early anyway. the resort was pretty neat and relaxing the interior is very nice and The staff are very accomodating although the location is kinda far from the city but really the hotel is great. i also love thier pool and the beach bar. will definitely comeback in this place if we ever stay in lapu-lapu city again.

ReplyDeleteJune 1, 2012 is a memorable day for me. I was able to visit a museum which I could say one of a kind. I am referring to the Seri Fantasy World Trick Art Museum. The small gallery which occupies a majority portion of the amusement park located at the Manila Ocean Park is distinctive because it features artworks which are interactive. The audience does not only appreciate the artworks on their face value. The audience can in fact participate and interact with the work.
My attention was caught by a monument of Lapu-Lapu. Guides in the park called it anti-gravity art. The illusion is so simple yet so intelligently thought of. I was informed that the artworks were all done my Filipino artists belonging to the group called GUHIT VISUAL ARTS GROUP of Lakandayang Cultural Association Inc. In my opinion, this visual arts group redefined 3D Art for Filipinos particularly their choice of themes and subjects.
When I was given a chance to talk to one of the founders of the group and the Chairman of the Lakandayang Cultural Association Inc. Mr. Joseph Reylan Viray, he told me that the group started to curve a niche in the art scene as 3d artists when the group snatched the grand prize in the 1st 3d Art Painting Competition sponsored by Avida Corporation. Since then the group started to be featured in various media networks, newspapers, magazines and online publications. It was also the group’s victory that paved way to corporate clients wanting to commission the artists to do 3D art for various purposes including advertising, promotion, social advocacy, etc.
The GUHIT visual arts group is composed of award winning artists. Co-founders like Arnold Lalongisip, Neil Defeo and Aldrin Alarcon are grand prize winners of the Art Petron-a prestigious art/painting competition in the country. Other co-founders like Alfredo Martirez (Grand Prize winner of Isetan Bag Design Contest), Joel Chavez (Grand Prize winner of Magnolia Tumbler Design Contest), and JM Saycon (Grand Prize Winner of Biotechtoons contest) are also making names in art competitions. The group’s Consultant and adviser Mr. Viray is the erstwhile chief of the Visual Arts Office of the University Center for Culture and the Art, Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
